My last trimester's work at Leeds Conservatoire
The Masters' Degree programme at Leeds Conservatoire is intensive. I've specialised in music composition which means that over the course of one academic year, I've written an hour and five minutes of fully scored music.
This trimester, I've had the chance to write for woodwind, brass, percussion, piano, harp and strings. I've loved it.
Here's my final submission - just over 30 minutes' of music - which is most of what I wrote in my last ten weeks on the course. If you'd like to hear some of the background to the pieces, have a listen to the commentary below.

The Title Track is a music branding package for a podcast, written for a string orchestra with solo viola.
Disinformation is about the onslaught of online data we all have to navigate every day. It's for piano and percussion (cymbal, vibraphone and bass drum).
Staying Afloat is for brass quintet. It's about the cost of living crisis.
This is a rehearsal recording of my percussion piece Blood-Tides. It's played by Michael Armitage and Samuel Milton, otherwise known as Wavelength Percussion. The rehearsal was filmed at Leeds Conservatoire.
