About me
I'm Emma Clarke, a music composition student at Leeds Conservatoire on the Masters Degree programme. I recently won the Gold Award for Composition at the World Classical Music Awards for my piece , 'The Algorithm.'
I started writing music a couple of years ago when I asked myself what kind of music I'd write if I ever gave it a go. I write for lots of different instruments and ensembles. I particularly love orchestration. I write music for choreography and I have a special interest in scoring music for silent film and animation. I live in Manchester, England with my family and crazy dog. In my other life, I'm an award-winning voiceover and writer. You'll have heard me on radio, TV, on games, apps, public transport systems, inside talking toys, in shopping centres and while you're on hold on the phone. I also play the part of the Starship Avalon in the Hollywood blockbuster movie 'Passengers.'
